Overview

Tyler Union in Anniston, Alabama is expanding and building a state-of-the-art facility incorporating additive manufacturing into their advanced manufacturing processes. Use knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials to recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls, coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.  Advise management of any deviations from this program.
  • Read and interpret blueprints of product to determine best manufacturing method.
  • Develop 3D models of sand molds and cores used in the binder jetting printing process to produce DI waterway fittings and valves.
  • Use solidification and flow simulation software to optimize tooling designs.
  • Reverse engineer legacy tooling with the aid of scanning technology, to create digital copies for production of 3D sand printed molds/cores.
  • Design and develop operating procedures for additive manufacturing process.
  • Solicits observations from the operators/production teams to identify needs and recommend process improvements.
  • Confer with suppliers.
  • Any other duties as assigned by your Manager.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering or Technology field required.
  • Computer skills required in SolidWorks required.
  • Experience with SolidCast and FlowCast preferred.
  • Computer skills preferred in Geomagic ControlX/DesignX preferred.
